Community
LDES is developed in the open by an international community of researchers, government agencies, cultural heritage institutions and companies. Here is how to get involved.
Chat room on Matrix
The main place for day-to-day discussion is the #ldes:chat.semantic.works room on Matrix, an open, decentralised chat protocol (think: a federated alternative to Slack). Ask questions about the specification, get help with a client or server implementation, or share what you are building.
How to join:
- Open the invite link: https://matrix.to/#/#ldes:chat.semantic.works.
- If you already use a Matrix client (such as Element), it will open directly in your app.
- New to Matrix? The link lets you create a free account in the browser in under a minute — no need to install anything first.
- Once in the room, feel free to introduce yourself and ask away.
Talks on YouTube
Conference talks, tutorials and demos about LDES are collected in a public YouTube playlist. New recordings are added as they become available — subscribe to the playlist to be notified.
Contribute to the specification
LDES is maintained as an open SEMIC community specification on GitHub. Feedback, use cases and pull requests are all welcome:
- Specification source
- Open an issue
- TREEcg organisation (client and tooling implementations)
